MFMenu+ 1.3 Notes
New Features :
Application and document launching.
Now also useful when Multifinder is not active.
Adds the option of allowing the menu to drop from the upper left corner.
Important Notes :
Remove Old versions of MFMenu from your System Folder before installing
MFMenu+.
Don't save a copy of MFMenu+ at the root level (i.e. if you want to
have a second copy of MFMenu+ on your disk, it must be in a folder).
Do not rename "MFMenu+".
There is no need to use MFMenu+ if you have purchased On Cue¬.
General Information :
MFMenu+ retains the features of MFMenu, but adds the ability to launch
applications and documents, whether using Multifinder or not.In fact,
MFMenu+ is nearly identical to On Cue¬, our sophisticated application and
document launching utility that is available commercially. On Cue¬ will
enable you to create a permanent, ever-present menu with which you can
instantly open any of your favorite applications (and their documents).
With MFMenu+ you can also create such a menu, but it will not be saved
between restarts.
MFmenu+, then, is an extremely useful program in its own right, while it
also serves as a demonstration of On Cue¬.
Notes on use :
To install MFMenu+, simply place it in the System Folder of a startup
disk (and not in any other folder), and restart the Mac.
The MFMenu+ menu will be accessible by moving the mouse over icon in the
far right of the menu bar. Note that unlike previous versions of MFMenu,
MFMenu+ is available even when Multifinder is not active.
Choose 'Configure...'
-to rapidly install multiple applications and
documents into the menu. Double-clicking an item in the "Currently
Installed" list is equivalent to choosing 'Attach Documents'.
Note that when you enter the "Remove" mode, multiple application or
document selection is possible, as in the DA/Font Mover. Double-clicking
an item is equivalent to choosing 'Remove'.
Choose 'An Application'
-to launch that application. If you hold down the
Option key (and only the Option key -be careful of the Caps Lock), while
launching an application (from either the menu or the 'Other...' dialog),
you will be presented with a list of documents to open.
Note that unlike other heirarchical menus you may have used, the MFMenu+
menu will still allow you to select items with a heirarchical menu attached
(i.e. those with an arrow to the right of the application name). In this
way you may launch an application only.
The 'Other...', 'Preference...', and 'About...' items are self explanatory.
We hope you enjoy MFMenu+. On Cue¬ is $39.95 , but you may order it for
$24.95 until June, 1, 1988.
Thanks for your interest in our software!
